IMMISem - Concept

The modell IMMISem calculates the emissions of traffic for the following air pollutants:
  • CO 
  • CO2
  • NOx
  • PM10 (particle matter) 
  • soot 
  • SO2
  • HC 
  • benzene 
  • toluol 
  • xylene 
  • Pb 
  • CH4
  • NH3
  • N2O
  • Benzo(A)pyren 
  • polyaromate 
  • NM-HC 
    •

and fuel.

Additionally, user provided individual emission factors may be used for emission calculations.

It is completely based on the current manual for emission factors of traffic HBEFA - "Handbuch für Emissionsfaktoren des Straßenverkehrs" (INFRAS 1995, 1999, 2004). 
The data consist of emission factors and data describing weightings of the road performance of different motor vehicles up to the prognosis year 2010. These data are collected and determined by the TÜV Rhineland (Cologne) and other institutions on behalf of the German Federal Environmental Agency (UBA, Berlin) and the Swiss Federal Office for Environment, Forest and Nature (BUWAL, Berne).
